IMAT Preparation

The candidate interested in studying medicine, dentistry or veterinary medicine in English-speaking departments in Italy must take part in the IMAT (International Medical Admission Test), which is held once a year at an examination center in Athens.

What is IMAT ?

The IMAT (International Admission Test) is a multiple-choice test.

According to the latest announcement from the Italian Ministry of Education, the structure of IMAT is as follows:

9 questions critical thinking skills and general knowledge

23 biology questions

15 chemistry questions

13 physics-mathematics questions

The total number of IMAT questions is 60 multiple choice. Each correct answer is scored with 1.5 points, while for each incorrect answer, 0.4 points are deducted.
